Build forms like superheroes with CaptainForm

CaptainForm is a WordPress form builder that was launched in 2015. As the name suggests, it is a plugin for creating forms, based on the technology developed by 123ContactForm (its mother company). To learn more about CaptainForm, WordCamp Split gold sponsor, we are talking with Alexandra Draghici, product owner at CaptainForm.

Thanks for being with us today, Alexandra. Can you tell use more about the idea behind CaptainForm?

The idea behind CaptainForm is to make WordPress users feel like superheroes when it comes to form building. We do our best to provide top-notch functionality wrapped in a beautiful user experience. CaptainForm users can build any type of WordPress form with drag & drop ease: registration forms, order forms with payment integration, newsletter subscriptions, job applications, surveys, quizzes and much more.

This is the first year that you sponsor a WordCamp in Croatia. What are your expectations from it?

Thank you for having us! This is the first year when we are sponsoring or attending WordCamps in general and we have been amazed by the quality of the relationships that we have established and of the feedback that we have gathered for our product. WordCamp Split is surely going to be the same. We love to dive into local WordPress communities every time we get the chance. We are sponsoring WordCamp Split in order to support the community and to gain exposure for CaptainForm.

Why is CaptainForm different than other available form solutions for WordPress?

There are many differentiators and I will try to mention the most important ones.

  1. CaptainForm requires no add-ons. All of the functionality is available straight from the core plugin, which helps users save time and effort.
  2. We provide top-notch functionality, built over the course of eight years for our mother product.
  3. We offer centralized form management for digital agencies. This means that an agency can manage all of their clients’ forms in the same WordPress installation, which again speeds up work (e.g. a complex form can be duplicated for a different client with one click).
  4. We pay great attention to data security and all forms come with SSL encryption, irrespective of the service plan or of the website’s protocol.
  5. We provide customer support through live chat and email to all users, free or paid.

What are the plans for the future?

Our top priority is engaging with our users and with the community and responding to their needs and feedback.

How do you see the current status of WordPress in the Central European region?

The community is growing stronger year by year. Germany, Poland and Slovakia have been very active in terms of WordCamps since five or more years ago. Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Switzerland are rapidly catching up. And WordCamp Europe held in Vienna this year was the biggest one ever. So it is obvious that there is a lot of interest and dedication for everything WordPress around here, that knowledge is going wider and deeper and that more and more people are attracted to the fascinating WordPress world.
